Peru Part 6 – Arequipa

After a packed few days in the canyon, we took a few days off to recover and enjoy Arequipa. A big thing to do in town is to go to the Santa Catalina Monastery located a few blocks off the main square. I had read a lot about how photogenic the place was, so I was excited to wrap the trip up somewhere like this.

We had heard at night they reopen the monastery by candlelight, so you can experience night like the nuns did.

A beautiful place, another favorite thing to see.

And just like that, it was the end of the trip. We hopped a plane back to Lima and stayed there for two days, and then back home for a rest after our adventure.
